What rods and reels will fit in the TRB and TRB-XL?

RODS: TRB holds four rods up to 10.5' long (broken down in 2 sections). Although the rods are broken down, they can still be rigged with fly line, leader, tippet and flies. TRB-XL holds four rods up to 9.5' long. REELS: Load capacity of the TRB and TRB-XL depends on the size of reels, reel covers and fighting butts, most size 8/9 reels and some size10 reels will fit depending on exact load. Loading the box with four 2-wts, 3-wts, 4-wts, 5-wts or 6-wts will not be an issue no matter the reel. When getting to the larger reels (8wt+) you may find that some combinations of rods will fit, and some will not. For someone who wants to carry a full load of larger reels they also have the option of removing both gas shocks to gain roughly an additional inch of space.
What do I need on my vehicle to mount a rod box?

Toccoa Rod Boxes can be mounted to most crossbar systems either on the roof of your vehicle or over the bed of a pickup truck. They can also be mounted to a roof rack. The crossbars or roof rack mounting points need to be atleast 32" apart to install a TRB and atleast 36" for the TRB-XL. How hard is it to install?

The installation is not difficult and does not require any special tools. Installation typically takes about 1 hour and you can find step by step video instructions under the installation page.
How much is shipping?

Shipping depends on which rod box you order, for the TRB shipping is FREE anywhere in the lower 48 states. For the TRB-XL shipping varies from $175 to $300 depending on what state we ship to. To see what your shipping rate would be, add the product to your cart and continue to the checkout page, once you enter your address the shipping rate will populate.
Do you offer in-store pickup?

Toccoa Guide Gear is an online store, but we are working with partners to offer in-store pickups and eliminate shipping costs for customers living in the Atlanta and north Georgia area. If you are interested in local pickup please email us at info@toccoaguidegear.com.
